    That's not very amiable. Excuse now, I'm off to write a blog about how much more porgessive thinking I am compared to you other skeptics and try and think a pretentsious adjective to place in front of my Blogger Name so people know how progressive thinking I am.

    Charles Bukowski. He was a prolific writer and poet and his biography at Wikipedia is interesting. He is a comtemporay of mine.

    I'll post one of his poems that I rather liked:

    8 Count

    from my bed
    I watch
    3 birds
    on a telephone
    wire.
    one flies
    off.
    then
    another.
    one is left,
    then
    it too
    is gone.
    my typewriter is
    tombstone
    still.
    and I am
    reduced to bird
    watching.
    just thought I'd
    let you
    know,
    fucker.

    Bukowski is great. I've read a few of his books after a friend of mine read some of his work to us. Sometimes when we visit each other at home, we take turns reading something we like to each other, from Lovecraft, Bierce to Bukowski. Thanks for sharing this poem.
