Science Degree Guy

Terry's claim of being a "science degree guy" reminded me of this Edward Current video.

  1. I don't know how he keeps managing to Poe the hell of it up so brilliantly well.

  2. I just realized this video is a lot more hilarious if you imagine he's parodying Terry rather than creationists in general. :)

Regardless of our differences, I really like reading Terry's posts. He's kind, and he always uses a stream of conciseness approach to writing as if he's talking to himself rather than to the other people posting on the blog.

    He's definitely unique.

  3. What do you mean by "kind" kaitlyn? I find him obnoxious. He insults people gratuitously, demands credentials instead of logic, and jumps into unfounded conclusions with such ease.

    G.E.

  4. kaitlyn,

I enjoy Terry's posts too. He's unique and provides me with lots of laughs. However, I am sometimes a little put off by his attitude when he accuses people of being Nazis and tries to claim that Darwin was a drug user. His threats of Hell get annoying sometimes too.

  5. Get_Education, I have a habit of being an optimist and seeing the best in people. I understand Terry can come across as insulting and maybe even mean, but I think his motives are good and his heart is in the right place - that's how I judge him.

  6. Kaitlyn,

Maybe you're right, and you very well could be. But I think his motives are very much the same as Ray.

Ray's perspective is "I want them not to go to hell. I will evangelize by calling them sinners, evil, wicked, and horrible people in an effort to convince them, and if they don't believe me they can burn. It's up to the Lord, I'm going to heaven."

It's a good intention, but a skewered and twisted good intention. Terry has played obvious but dirty tricks, has been belligerent to all of us at one point or another, he lies (disregarding his own code of ethics) and insults.

Presume what you want about his intentions, but his actions speak louder.

  7. Theshaggy, I understand.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

  8. I was thinking the same thing. ;-)

But then again, he thinks he's going to Heaven for his good intentions. Which justifies his horrible behaviour in his mind.

Again, I don't think his intentions are as good as you might, simply because his intentions are ultimately selfish and lead to him doing decidedly un-caring things.

  9. kaitlyn,
you were not around a few months ago when we was constantly bragging about his contacts in the FBI. He claimed he was passing all our names on to them and there would be trouble.

He has stopped doing that for a while. I presume Ray asked him to stop as it was getting a bit ridiculous.

  10. "Kind"?? Guess you haven't received death threats from one of Terry's fantasy personalities. I have.

Entertaining? Yes. A decent human being? Not as far as this monkey's concerned.

  11. Number of times Terry has called me muslim? 1 or 2.

Number of times he's called me a commie? 1 or 2.

time he's called be Nazi? Too many to count.

Oh, and let us not forget that I admire Hitler and can't wait to go to Hell to be with him.

Oh, and I'm a lunatic apparently, who has disrespect for the U.S. Military because I told Terry I didn't believe him.

Oh yes, I know how kind Terry is, and what a way with words.

  12. I loathe Terry, I loathe his posts and if he dropped off the face of the earth in 5 minutes I'd say we all would be better off.

There, I said it. Unapologetically so, even.

  13. John Doyle, I read the comment Terry left you on your blog a while back.

    Definitely not friendly...

I think someone needs to see the picture of Sexy Terry again.

    For Nonmagic....

AHH! The goggles! They do nothing!

  16. nonmagic,

I have to disagree with you on being better off if Terry ceased to exist. For some reason, I have this idea that putting Terry on a reality show like The Real World would be amazingly entertaining. Especially seeing him interact with the normal cast of characters they find.

I think you just hit on a million dollar idea!
Take 6 of nuttiest Raylians and 6 Ratractors, lock them in a house together for 6 months and film.

Oh chirst tits, would that entertaining!

  18. Yeah, you're too kind, Kaitlyn, but you haven't had the experiences with him that some of us have had.

He came to my blog under one of his many personalities (a female one at that) and accused me of being a terrorist sympathizer. He also accused me of that on Ray's blog.

The funny thing was, he was responding to a blog about a dream that I had where I fought against Shariah law!

  19. RS !!!! And I looked at that right before dinner!!

MJ, you may be right. I swear I bet we could get this on FOX.

Lance, the thought of you or Kirsti being terrorists really cracks me up.
