Um, What Happened To The Strike?

Have you all given up on it, then?

  1. That's what I wonder. His post count has gone up again.

Seriously guys, it's fun to watch him flop around like a fish on dock when nobody responds to him.

  2. I haven't been posting there.

Just don't even LOOK over there guys. He's pathetic.

  3. The funny thing, though, is that while Ray gets a lot of comments, I hardly doubt that number is matched by the number of unique visitors.

    Unique Visitors: 25
    Ray: Asshat

    Perfect statistics.

  4. I haven't posted there since the day the strike was even mentioned.

  5. OK, OK, guilty as changed.

Though I have not posted as much as before. It is frustrating though, the comments seem to taker forever to appear. I guess it is better, if we want to comment, to put the stuff here. But then we do not have the fun of having "certain" fundies angry (mischievous grin).

  6. Not me. I've only commented once since the strike began, and then only in snarky limerick form. He's getting no more help from me, unless I come up with equally snarky limericks in future.

  7. I tried to post there today, I admit, concerning the Hell is a specific geographic location line. But I think because I used the phrase "if I made 120K a year, I could take you to those places", it wasn't posted.

I shouldn't pay attention. The responses by Patti and Rebecca in TX on the "Hypocrisy"/abortion thread depressed the hell out of me. The same old the tribes that the ancient Hebrews committed genocide agaisnt were evil, they were wicked, God gave them a chance to repent, those children were so corrupted they were the equivalent of modern suicide bombers.

They can't just admit that that was the way different tribes acted toward one another, warring for land and resources and wealth and women. They need to believe in a kind, loving God, and those actions aren't kind and loving, so they have to spin up all this justification. And when you can justify those kinds of things because of your god, you can justify anything.

I wish no non-believers would post there, but it's a free country. For now.

I don't think I've ever agreed more with something said on this blog.

  9. I never posted much anyway, but I haven't posted a thing since the strike began.

  10. Somebody else, perhaps in another thread pointed out a contradiction, and had, of course, no response. It was something like:

If God gave me the sense of good and evil, how come I perceive lots of the actions described in the Bible as ordered or performed by God as evil?

  11. New posters have appeared on Ray's blog since the strike began.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks, nonmagic.

There have been new posters at Ray's blog. And some non-believers get into long arguments on various threads, and that adds comments. And then there's Ray's baiting, like his most recent post, more bullshit about evolution; "Are Ray and Kirk Willful Liars?" Why, yes, they are. That's an easy one. I want to comment on that thread so bad I can taste it. But I am fighting the urge.

  13. Ray just posted something about my calling them willful liars. In the event, I gave him a lot of sales. So sorry. But well, those gullible fundies have it in them. Here what I answered:

Then Ray, for the Bible to be inerrant we should not find a single typo in any of them?

Also, do not misrepresent my writing, for some fossil-documented "species-to-species transitions" we have hundreds of fossils, for others we have tens. Why do you do this? Why did you have to change my meaning? Of course: willful liar.

There are several hominid fossils that demonstrate "transitions" between our common ancestor with chimps and ourselves, and you dismissed the whole thing because of a few fakes, and the lie that one fossil was a person with arthritis (willful liar). So, in the case of our evolution from ancestral apes (we are still apes), we do not have thousands, we have tens. So, does that invalidate evolution? Of course not. But you never mention these fossils, do you? Conclusion: willful liar.

Of course orangutans are our very distant relatives, but that does not qualify them to fly in the plane with us. Should now I assume that God does not exist because mentally challenged people would not behave either, then God does not exist because the mentally challenged should be the image of God, and thus be all right? Or else is God mentally challenged too?

Now where you said I spoke to lay folks about the theory and each sounded like an expert at first. Come on! These TEENS sounded like experts first? You are not only a willful liar but a bad one at that. I might believe that the UCLA profs did not want to appear in your mockumentary, but not that those you present in the video sounded like experts first. You have to be kidding me.

Anybody buying your special will be buying a bunch of lies and misinformation. I can do nothing about it, so be it.

    G.E.

  14. Oh I added this to my response:

Your video does not debunk evolution, it debunks strawmen of evolution. This is what your customers will never understand. Sad but true. Keep the lies coming Ray. It works for you all right.

  15. Hey!

I have a moment here and haven't read ay comments, but, I have thrown in a stink bomb here and there, but I guantee that I could never plow into that wall of ignorance, ever again.

I was actually going to make a post out of this, but I'll test the waters here.
I have so many things going on right now, and there are so many of you young'ens hauling the load, that ol' dale is retiring to other endeavors.

I am sure tht I will be missed for about ten minutes or so, but by then I will have become a part of a new challenge, as all of you will be in the future.

Anyway, carry on and I am happy as a goat in garbage to have had this chance to interfqce with all of you; and thqnk you, all.

  16. Well, Dale, I understand that we all have other things to do in our lives, but I have to let you know that I'm not happy you are leaving us and that you will me missed more than you know. You add a certain fire around here that is greatly needed.

  17. Sorry, just stumbled across this blog today. If I ha known about the strike, I would have joined in

  18. Dale, you know you'll have to stop by once in awhile, if only to "harrumph" and tease the girls a little.

Does this mean "Defending the Constitution" is about to be revved up again?

  19. Hey dale,

I will notice if you do not post any more. Hopefully you will do from time to time.

  20. I posted a couple of times a week or so ago, but that's it. I've been able to resist.

I see a lot of new names posting there though.

  21. We need to lure the new people over here.

    Because we're great.

  22. Ray is like crack...I need help...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yea, I'm guilty of posting at Ray's too. The devil made me do it!

    Dale,

Your posts will be missed. Your points were on the mark and came with the right measure of wit and jocularity. I hope we'll see you drop in once in a while, but if not I suspect our paths will cross again at some point in the future.

  24. A quick question: what's the purpose of registering? I mean, it'd be nice to have my name in lights on the right side of the main page and all...
