Great New Book
I was at the library today and there on the shelves was a fantastic new autobiography: Still Growing by Kirk Cameron. It looks great, especially the "Teen Atheist" chapter and the reading list. I want everyone here to rush right out and either buy it, or get it from your local library. Now!

ReplyDeleteHurry NM! I'm sure it's a treasure trove of absurdities!
ReplyDeletePlease write us a book report when you are done reading. Due no later than next Monday, 2 pages double spaced.
Thanks!
Absurdities? Milo, how dare you blaspheme against The 80's Sitcom Teenboy And Great Humper Of The Leg Of Jeebus And Ray ! Surely he shall smite thee with a late night rerun followed by a 3 hour Billy Mays infomercial for OrangeGlo.
ReplyDeleteOh, there is plenty of Growing Pains minutiae. And of course, our buddy Ray is in there. It's a shame that Boswell isn't still around. He could have done Kirk's bio. Folks would forget all about The Life of Samuel Johnson.
ReplyDeleteAnd what would you have us do next, Oh Sage of Virginia?

When I find one of these books at my local bookstore I surreptitiously move it to the Fantasy or Fiction section. hehehe
ReplyDeleteI kinda got busted by one girl that works there but, come to find out,she has high school classes with my son.
A couple weeks ago we had a bunch of kids here and "Lisa" was one of them. These kids are quite the engaging crew and when I was talking with her she said, get this,
"I wish you would have slipped those books into the waste basket."
Those knuckleheads set me up!
So, I had to fess up and now I am a wanted criminal on the loose. I want to go national with this. Crime spree for Atheists type thing, OK. You in?
Oh, the shocking revelations! Go here, search for "My Wild Side" and read chapter 10:

Paging through this book, what overwhelms me is not the fundy stupidness, but the complete lack of anything interesting in Kirk's mind.
