This time is for Brittany
@Brittany
All Ray would have to do is make a slight change to his statement 5 "statement of program service accomplishments." Oh wait, no its there at the bottom. Of the 3 million in expenditures for 2006 we have (drum roll please)
"Donate property to various charitable organizations and individuals in need.....$5,917"
6k!!! That's Fucking it! Some CHARITY organization!! LMAO!!
THAT'S ONLY .2%!!

ReplyDeleteThe large number of deleted comments are making me paranoid.
ReplyDeleteMilo, maybe it's Ray saying sinful things to us and then having second thoughts.
ReplyDeleteAce, I wouldn't be surprised if they even fudged the number too high.
Just for kicks, I tried to post about this at Ray's. I asked him where exactly that $5,917.00 went. Needless to say, it wasn't posted.
ReplyDeleteI think the first comment here, that has been deleted, was from aceofclubz.
Sounds like time for a Google bomb - let's all link our blogs to this post, using 'Ray Comfort' as the text link.
ReplyDeleteGoogle Bomb How To: http://www.liewcf.com/blog/archives/2004/03/how-to-bomb-google-with-blogs/
Off topic but the Raytractors need some kind of "Must Read Posts" sidebar.
ReplyDeleteThat way super awesome posts would be easier for a visitor to find and read.
I nominate
http://raytractors.blogspot.com/2008/08/piety-of-ray-little-web-sleuthing.html
and
http://raytractors.blogspot.com/2008/08/evidence-of-rays-dishonesty.html
These two posts show how dishonest he is and how much money he makes off his dishonesty.
About the Google-bombing.
ReplyDeleteThat article was written in 2004. Google "weigh" different kinds of sites differently. And (although the Google Page Rank method is secret) it is unlikely that pages on "blogger.com" are weighted much at all...
You'd need to put the link on many different domains...
In fact, in 2007, the Google algorithm was changed slightly to make Google -bombing harder.
To pull it off you would need to pick a phrase that has very few results in Google. If you picked "Ray Comfort" you would have to compete with all the other sites that link to Ray's own site.
Good points all, Jill.
ReplyDeleteI still think it would be worth coming up with an expression and trying to plaster it all over the place.
I agree with Jill on the "Must Read" links. A couple of posts back I suggested tht Silent Dave's "Questions..." series get tagged, and the tag page put up as a link. Jill's ideas are great, to put it under a "Reality of Ray Comfort" heading.
ReplyDeleteAs for a specific phrase: "Ray Comfort is a wonderful human being" would make for a fantastic irony.
Can you link to the article you're referencing? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteSorry about that. Double posted somehow.
ReplyDeleteace,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, ray gives some of his money in secret as that would please the Lord.
"Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow
a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the
synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already."
MATTHEW 6:2

ReplyDeleteVery secret.

ReplyDeleteace,
Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, ray gives some of his money in secret as that would please the Lord.

Brittany, I owe you civility just for having the maracas to venture over here, and I'll extend it, too. But I'll still disagree; I'll just keep a civil tongue if poss.
My reaction to your comment is that if Ray's intent was to covertly donate to God (humility?) then what's with the other $6K? Why didn't Ray donate that to God too?
It really puzzles me how so many Christians support somebody all of us see as a transparently dishonest ideologue.
Maybe what society needs is dialogue, Brittany. Is what Ray is doing in any way dialog with us?
No. It's atheist-baiting; nothing more.
