The most Evil and Vile Atheist Plot ever Hatched- Exposed

As some of you know from an earlier comment,
that I have had my cover blown by a little high school kid out at the mall bookstore. It turns out that she is a classmate of my son's.

She shows up at a gathering at our house and exposes my devious ways. As I said, those knuckleheads set me up. However, I want to go national with this. You are in the bookstore and you find a Kirk or Ray book, surreptitiously sneak it (them) into the science fiction section. I'm sure that you cannot be like prosecuted or arrested for that.

And, by the way, then all the fundies will have an actual complaint to make about us evil bastards.

The best part is that they cannot retaliate. I am sure there is some scripture that prohibits this type of activity. Meanwhile, I am very conflicted about this vile activity, yet, I am emboldened and we need to go on the attack! Anarchy in the bookstores! (That one's for you, Weemaryanne.)

  1. I've been performing guerrilla tactics for years at the bookstore. Some of the better ones are moving a few bibles to the Christian Fiction section. It's also fun to move books by Behe, Wells, Dembski, etc. to the Religion section. I don't seem any harm in doing this, I just putting them where they really belong.

There's Scripture that prohibits lying too, but that doesn't stop Ray. It doesn't even slow him down.

  3. Dale, I do that with the bible all the time.

  4. It is encouraging to find that I amnot the only one..........

  5. Dale, we should form a support group for people who move religious literature to the fiction section of bookstores and libraries.

    I can see it now....

'Hi, I'm Dale and I'm a wanton criminal who puts fiction in it's rightful place.'

    'HI DALE!'

  6. Every time I see Behe in 'Science' next to Sagan, Dawkins, Gould, etc - I die a little inside.

  7. Funnily enough, I hate "The God Delusion" - I thought it was the poorest of the 'rash' of books championing atheism. However Dawkins' older books that are devoted strictly to science are fantastic.

  8. You didn't like The God Delusion? Quick! Somebody ban her! Don't you know that all of us atheists worship at his feet and consider his word to be law?

In all seriousness, I liked it better than God is not Great, as it actually gave me some new ways to think about all this stuff.

  9. I was going to buy God is Not Great, but as I thumbed through it in the bookstore I was going "yep", "OK", "Know that", "Sure"
Decided I wasn't going to learn anything new.

Love Hitchens. Love his Brother too. Have any of you seen the vid of the pair of them going head to head?

  10. "Atheism Explained: From Folly to Philosophy," is by far the best 'case for atheism' book I've ever read. It takes the most popular arguments for AND against the existence of a deity and points out all of the flaws in said arguments. A great read for anyone looking to thoroughly explore both ends of the issue.

Sam Harris' books are also favorites of mine.

Has anyone here read "Atheist Universe: The Thinking Person's Answer to Christian Fundamentalism"? I was looking into picking it up.

  11. Stew,

I saw that vid. I love, love, love Hitchens. His brother doesn't have the same charisma, I think.

Overall, I liked The God Delusion, but even though I'm a huge Hitchens fan I discovered I love to hear him speak more than I like to read him--God Is Not Great just didn't do anything for me.

  12. That's funny that you post this Dale. Just last week, I was with a group of Christians that go out weekly to share the Gospel and one lady said that she goes to bookstores and puts tracks in Dawkins' and other popular atheists books. We thought that was great, so now a lot of people are starting to do that. Awesome!!! :)

    Have a good weekend atheists!!

  13. Michelle,

Tell them to keep doing that! I will go out to the bookstores and look for the tracts so I can have free toilet paper! I could save a bundle!!! Thanks!!!

  14. Thank you for the kind favour Michelle.

This way when the rational reader is looking for some irrational fundie doubletalking gibberish to compare to the points of the rational, coherent atheist author, they won't have to look any further than the tract you've provided!

Thank you for so eloquently juxtaposing the two viewpoints.
