The Idiopedia

Welcome to the wonderful perpendicular universe of Conservapedia, where Charles Darwin was a racist, where the theory of evolution caused the holocaust, where Barack Obama is a terrorist muslim and where Ray Comfort doesn't exist except as a footnote to everyones favorite firefighter.

Perhaps we should help him out by writing a polite, eloquent, completely unbiased article?

PS: I recommend that anyone preparing to read anything on that site surgically remove their brain and store it in a jar for the duration. If you do not, you may suffer side-effects, including nausea, vomiting, brain atrophy and death. I think the latter may be premeditative.
PPS: To get the truth, and not the pathetically unfunny, liberally biased misinformation the Con-opedia peddles, visit the real "trustworthy encyclopedia".
PPPS: Thanks to Kaitlyn for finding this little gem, on Reality.
PPPPPS: I fully encourage any games of Conservatroll. If you read that article, remember to check out the Finland article on conservapedia. Yes, it's still there.

  1. I've known about that organization for a while now; I think I heard the founder (co-founder?) interviewed on NPR over a year ago.

I took a look at it, and sort-of came to a conclusion about conservative pop culture:

There are an awful lot of "liberal media" accusations, and they've been around for a long time. Over the last 8-10 years, it's seemed like the number and intensity of the accusations has increased.

I review the media in general, and have seen examples of both. My problem is this: the conservative bias always seems to outrageous in comparison to the liberal bias.

I mean seriously, Bill O'Reilly? Rush Limbaugh? Compare them against NPR... And that's a really simple example of the ubiquitous disparate level of bias between the two.

Conservapedia is frikkin nutty - not just "biased", but plain ol' bat-shit insane. There isn't a Liberal resource that even comes close to that level of anti-intellectual turpitude.

Seriously, the accusations of liberal bias are coming from some of the most retarded people on the face of this planet - and they parade the evidence of that retardation while waving "God and Country!" banners.

If there is a God, and if he does care about this country - and if he's going to judge us by the content of our thoughts and desires - those who most claim to represent America are gonna get front row seats, but not where they expect em...

  3. "[Reality] is very well known to have a liberal bias."

I think that was a Stephan Colbert quote. It was first uttered on the Daily Show.

    Einstein said,
"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a rather persistent one." :>
