  2. This is one of the few places I actually get to play the part of a cautious deist...

    Criticism of religion focusses on the excesses of religion, or perhaps its worshippers. While this is appropriate, it's very loud and boisterous. It drowns out any real, sincere, open or honest conversation that might be had in regards to "intentional design".

    To be honest, fundamentalism does the very same thing.

    Nietzsche was a nihilist. Insofar as the audio/video clip was interesting, I'm not sure you can really trust anything that comes from a person who says "None of this matters".

    Even if true, you can't live according to this philosophy. It's fundamentally antithetical to human life.

  4. Nietzsche? You are a man after my own heart!
    Nietzsche wasn't really a nihilist his writings focus on nihilism but from what I've read he was really more of an existentialist...although I will admit he was out of his mind (literally he collapsed into insanity)
