Convulsing on the bed, my limbs are cold
A strange force takes over me

She is lying next to me
Her face pale and blank
I open her eyes
So she can see me
She doesn't make a sound
The pills must have taken effect

Her plastic stare is haunting
motionless, her eyes see through me
I live the fantasy,
Her labia feel a silver slippery
Reaching inside her has no effect

Thoughts of Sylvia Plath floating
I find strength in the darkness
Of putting her head in the oven
Completing my fantasy
Let me state the obvious
Reminds me of retrocopulation

Her face transposed onto
The girl I touch
The prose sends me into a frenzy
"These mannequins lean tonight
In Munich, morgue between Paris and Rome,"
Faceless mannequins
Caught in a dreamscape
Tonight between paris and rome

  1. Mud, this is my favorite from you yet. Keep it coming.

  2. Mud, you mention Sylvia.

    "The Dead
Revolving in oval loops of solar speed,
Couched in cauls of clay as in holy robes,
Dead men render love and war no heed,
Lulled in the ample womb of the full-tilt globe.

    No spiritual Caesars are these dead;
    They want no proud paternal kingdom come;
And when at last they blunder into bed
    World-wrecked, they seek only oblivion.

Rolled round with goodly loam and cradled deep,
These bone shanks will not wake immaculate
To trumpet-toppling dawn of doomstruck day :
    They loll forever in colossal sleep;
Nor can God's stern, shocked angels cry them up
From their fond, final, infamous decay.

    The Dead
    By Sylvia Plath

  3. I had to google Sylvia Plath

    I am a philistine

I have some reading to do

Thank you Muddy Mudskipper. In your honour I have cut this clip from my Ren & Stimpy Collection. In violation of YouTube code of conduct. I'm a bandit I am. It's from the Sven Hoëk episode

  4. Weird. Bukowski mixed with shades of William Gibson (names I can relate this to, rather than me telling you what it's indicative of).

    Nice stuff, Mud.

  5. Disturbing.

However, I try to not discourage art.

I just avoid that which I don't like.
    (is that grammatically correct?)

  6. Disturbing is sometimes good.

Disturbed out of our ruts, disturbed out of our routines.

Vision disturbed, made to see things differently.

Disturbed thoughts won't settle. You sit down to watch some crap on tv and the disturbing thing you read keeps coming back to your mind. You push the thoughts around like your tongue keeps probing a hole in a tooth.

I like things that disturb me.

  7. I want to dig her up. Make her walk again. She said she wanted her bones to find her father. I want to be with her in the mental institution, feeding her pudding, pills and spooning with her when she is cold.

Hey froggie, thanks for posting the Dead poem. That one is good.

I was listening to her on youtube. I love the way she says "Daddy" "daddy" in the British accent. Drives me crazy.

Hey stew. Thanks for the mudskipper clip. I should post that.

  8. I want to dig her up.

    Just an excitable boy?

  9. Stew said:

"You push the thoughts around like your tongue keeps probing a hole in a tooth."

THAT is thoughtful, and a cool analogy. Original?

Stew - you should post some of your writings here....

"Stew sat down to watch some mindless television program, but he couldn't be bothered by what he saw. The sight he'd seen before wore on him. The overload of information was gnawing at him, making him go over his day again and again, pushing his thoughts around as if probing a hole in his tooth with his tongue..."

  10. Mud,

Go to Youtube and watch Billy Collins poem, "The Dead."

  11. LAOF - there are original writers in the world I am not one of them.

"Your manuscript is both good and original, but the part that is good is not original and the part that is original is not good."
    --- Samuel Johnson
