"Palin Rocks"

Two new posts by Ray and he hasn't mentioned the election. I replied to his "Answers to Questions that Atheists Can't (Definitely)Answer post. I'll be surprised if my reply is posted, so here it is for what it's worth:

First, let me quote a great seer and prophet:

Palin rocks. We are not going to have an Obama-nation.

posted by Ray Comfort at 7:40 PM on Sep 3, 2008

Now let me quote from the only book that matters to said prophet:

Romans 13:1-2; 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

As for your current post, Ray, I'll just address point number 7 for now; you've obviously never heard of the Piraha of Brazil. But that's no surprise; we know how much you like doing actual research. The Piraha have no concept of a god or creator. There's a book coming out this month titled "Don't Sleep, There Are Snakes; Life in Amazonian Jungle" by Daniel Everett, but I doubt if you'll read it. And now for some Spurgeon Gold on the subject of dumb, evil cigars:

"When I have found intense pain relieved, a weary brain soothed, and calm refreshing sleep obtained by a cigar, I have felt grateful to God and have blessed His name." -Charles Spurgeon

  1. Yes, Rufus, I also made a reference to the election...and I will also be surprised if my comment makes it past Ray's crack team of moderators.

  2. TMM:

My post made it through, and I believe yours did as well. I wonder if Ray will actually mention the election though? I mostly wanted to bring up the Piraha tribe, which I had done before, quite awhile ago, when Ray, or someone brought up the "why doesn't every culture believe in a creator" line. Not that it will matter to them.

  3. I thought about writing a response to his: write a foreward for my book post...I can't do it without using the words fucktard, bullshit, or asshattery...O well!

  4. Concerning the forward for his "book", I just asked him can't he write any part of "his" book himself?

  5. Hmm yours is good...no need to swear then!

  6. I just stated that I have no desire whatsoever to contribute in any way to his latest pack of lies.

  7. Did anyone else notice that question 2 has changed?

    It was:

"2. How will life on earth end?"

    And now it's:

"2. Do human beings have more intrinsic value than animals?"

So, yes, atheists are unable to answer questions they've not been asked. Well done Ray.

The rest of his 'answers' are more of his usual bullshit. I don't know how many fallacies I counted there but...my god it's annoying!

  8. Add writing a foreword to things Ray doesn't understand. He's possibly just playing games as usual, but maybe he doesn't understand that a foreword is to be written by someone endorsing a book, by someone who has enough name recognition to help sell some books. After, this is the guy who published an "Authorized Autobiography," as if there were unauthorized autobiographies.

  9. I was expecting Ray to gloat about Prop 8. Seems like the most heartless thing to do.

  10. All of those questions, quite precisely, have been answered to him before. Lots of the answers are crystal clear. Now his dishonesty is much more evident than ever ... or am I too new to the guy?

Unlike Ray we don't censor our comments, so as long as it's on topic and not spam, fire away.
