I went to church and Sunday school, I kept the law and every rule.
Good I was-kind and nice, I kept from evil, sin and vice.
I had a title, an honorable name, Cars and land, wealth and fame.
A diamond ring was on my hand, My house was the best in all the land.
I gave much money to the poor, It didn't hurt me, I always had more.
I drank the best and finest wine, And sent my kids to colleges fine.
I dined upon the best food, I was always in a very good mood.
I heard the Gospel many a day, I didn't care, I had my way.
I didn't accept Jesus, God's only Son, I didn't care what He had done.
Then I got old and death drew nigh, Yes, siree, it was time to die.
All of a sudden I had to go! Where was I going-I didn't know.
I bade my family a shaky farewell, Now it was time to go to Hell!
I woke with a start and started to choke, The place was dark and filled with smoke.
I looked around but couldn't see, The place was black, as black can be.
People wailed and people did scream, I wished to God it was only a dream.
Then next thing I knew, I was on fire, The scorching flames grew higher 'n higher
I rejected Jesus Christ and sealed my fate, I can't receive Him, it's now too late.
When I was alive all was well, Now I'm tormented, chained in Hell!
*Edit: sorry the spacing was really annoying me!
**Edit: also I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem like I wrote this...I'm really not that creative. This is from Bible Believers Baptist Church (that's what it says on the back anyway)
